Annual reports and accounts

We are accountable to Parliament. Every year we submit to Parliament, through the Privy Council, our annual reports and accounts and our annual fitness to practise report.

As we are a charity our annual report and accounts are also submitted to the Charity Commission and to the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator.

Annual reports and accounts

Our annual report tells you about how we have met our objectives and what we aim to do in the year ahead.

The accounts, which are independently audited, set our income and how we have spent our resources to meet our objectives.

Annual Fitness to Practise reports

Our annual Fitness to Practise report is also submitted to Parliament. The report details how we have dealt with concerns raised with us about nurses and midwives, including statistical information on the numbers of cases we receive and what happens to them.
