This information comes from our database which holds the register of nurses and midwives.
We produce statistics about these areas:
- numbers of people on the different parts of the register
- age and sex of people on the register
- what geographical region people live in (not where they work)
- country of origin - overseas and the European Economic Area (EEA)
- numbers of nurses and midwives seeking work outside the UK
- numbers of nurses with a prescribing qualification
- number of midwives submitting Intention to practise (ItP) notifications
- midwifery supervision
