Quality assurance of education
We quality assure all NMC approved programmes of education through robust processes of approval and annual monitoring
We will continue to quality assure all NMC approved programmes of education through robust processes of approval and annual monitoring. This means all programmes leading to registration or a mark on the register, and programmes of preparation for individuals supporting learning and assessment in practice.
The term quality assurance covers approval of new programmes, re-approval and modifications of existing programmes, and endorsement of programmes approved in the UK for delivery in specified locations outside the UK institutions and their practice partners on an annual basis. Quality assurance services in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales will continue to be delivered on our behalf by Mott MacDonald until August 2013. Mott MacDonald will continue to operate a rota of availability for professional queries from education providers and reviewers which can be viewed at Mott MacDonald in Partnership with NMC.
For enquiries relating to programme approval from AEIs, please email qateam@nmc-uk.org.
Please note that the NMC no longer provides advice to nurses and midwives on professional or education issues and any non-QA email queries sent to this mailbox will not receive a reply.
