What's in this section?
Information about the languages on our website
The code says that nurses and midwives "must make arrangements to meet people's language and communication needs." In that spirit, we have created this part of our website to present core information for members of the public in a range of languages other than English.
Each language hub covers four areas:
As well as providing information in Welsh, we have provided information in Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, French, Greek, Gujarati, Hindi, Polish, Somali, Urdu and Vietnamese. These represent the most commonly spoken languages, other than English and Welsh, across the UK.
We would appreciate your feedback on this part of our website, particularly if:
- provide healthcare services to members of non-English speaking communities
- you find any mistakes in the translation
- you think there are other languages we should include.
If you just see boxes or questions marks instead of text on any of these pages, it is probably because the internet browser you are using does not support the character sets.
We plan to develop this section over time, and we would value your input. Please email us with your comments.
