NMC hosts event as part of Social Media Week 2012

NMC's first social media event reaches over 24,000 people.
The NMC held its first social media event at its offices at 61 Aldwych. The topic: Talking with patients online: Where are the boundaries? raised some interesting questions and comments from speakers and guests.
NMC Assistant Director Professional and Public Communications, Andy Jaeger said:
"I'd like to thank our guest speakers and everyone who joined us, in person and online, for making our event such a success. What's clear is, if done properly, social media can have a very positive impact for patients if nurses and midwives are willing to engage with them safely and professionally."
