Joining the register

How to register as a nurse or midwife

To work as a nurse or midwife in the UK, you must be on our register. In this section, you will find information about joining the register if:

• you are a UK graduate
• you trained in the European Union or an EEA member state
• you trained anywhere else in the world

You can also find information on returning to the register if you have taken a break for any reason.
