Obtaining a transcript of your training

Information you may need if applying to work overseas

Information you may need if applying to work overseas

If you are applying for registration overseas, you may need a transcript of your training. It is easiest to obtain this by contacting your original school of training. If this institute has closed or no longer holds these records, we can search our archives for information we may hold regarding your training.

There is no guarantee we will hold a copy of your transcript. In this instance, we will forward either a copy of the relevant syllabus or EU directive.

Depending on the qualification, we only hold transcripts of training for qualifications completed between 1979-2002. Please note this does not include transcripts for any specialist community public health nurse or additional recordable qualifications.

Due to the length of time it takes retrieving documents from our archives, requests can take up to 30 working days to process. Therefore please ensure you make your request in good time.

Please include the following when emailing us with your request

  • NMC Pin and date of birth
  • full name
  • contact address and telephone number
  • qualification you require the transcript for
  • address of the licensing or registration board you are applying to

All information held regarding your training will be forwarded. We cannot guarantee the information contained will meet the requirements of the licensing or registration board you are applying to.
