Information for applicants
General information about the application process
We are located in three offices across the UK, two in central London, at 23 Portland Place and 61 Aldwych and a third office in Edinburgh, at 114-116 George Street. For directions, maps, opening hours and contact details for our offices in London and Scotland, please click here
We try and hold interviews for vacancies at the location where the position is based.
If an applicant is known by or has a personal relationship with a current NMC employee they must declare this on their application. It would normally be necessary for the employee to avoid any involvement in the recruitment and selection process.
Acknowledging applications
Due to the high volumes of applications we receive, we cannot acknowledge completed applications. If you have not heard from us within four weeks of the closing date, please assume you have not been short listed for an interview.
Successful applications
We endeavour to provide interview dates when advertising a position.
All successful applicants will be informed via the email address provided of their interview date, time and location.
If a candidate has any special requirements for an interview, please advise us so that we can provide any assistance necessary.
All candidates are asked to complete a section on their right to work in the UK on the application form. The successful candidate will be asked to provide evidence to HR of their right to work in the UK on appointment. The HR department will take a copy of the documentation that is provided.
Feedback
Due to the volume of applications received, we unfortunately can not provide feedback for individuals not short listed for an interview. We are happy to provide feedback to applicants who have attended an interview with us.
Equality and diversity
The NMC is an employer that values the diversity of its workforce and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
Personal information
If you apply for a job at the NMC we collect personal information in connection with dealing with your application, recruitment and any pre-employment checking.
