How do I apply to register as a nurse?
If you want to work in the UK, you will have to apply to join the NMC register.
You must pass the International English Language Test (IELTS) before we can send you an application pack.

Request for NMC Overseas Application Forms [DOC]
When you receive the application form, you must complete and return it by post to the address below.
All accompanying paperwork requested as part of the registration process must be certified copies of the original documents, including both the original language version and an English translation.
How do I certify documents?
Overseas nurses programme (ONP)
If your application meets our minimum standards, you will have to complete an overseas nursing programme (ONP).
We strongly recommend that you secure your place on an ONP before travelling to the UK.
The ONP sets out common entry standards, a compulsory 20-day period of protected learning for all nurses trained outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and, where appropriate, a period of supervised practice.
You cannot work as a nurse without having completed the programme, even if your application to join the NMC register is successful.
