Renew or maintain your registration

As a registrant of the NMC it is your responsibility to ensure that your registration remains current at all times.

We will remind you only once that your registration is due for renewal 45 days prior to your expiry date.

We will contact you by post to your registered address, so it is essential that you let us know if your address details change.

If you do not intend to practise in the future, you can allow your registration to lapse.

To maintain registration with the NMC you must

  • renew your registration every three years
  • pay your annual registration fee
