Appointments Board

The Appointments Board is composed entirely of independent members, and it advises the Council on the appointment of panel members and legal assessors to the Practice Committees, and the appointment of registration appeal panel members to the Registration Appeals Panel.

This includes approving policies governing recruitment and selection, induction and development, appraisal, performance management, remuneration and contractual arrangements.

Members

Jane SlatterJane Slatter (Chair)

Jane has considerable NED experience in a range of chairing roles, in both the Healthcare and social housing sector. She has been an independent consultant since 2006 providing strategic HR services to clients in the public and private sectors, including health. She has worked in a variety of sectors as an HR professional, including at director level, and brings strong HR knowledge to the Board.

Robert AllanRob Allan

Rob Allan is a qualified Human Resources professional with extensive management experience within the public sector, both at operational and strategic levels, including over 25 years as a board level Director. Robert was most recently Director of Human Resources at Loughborough University, a post he held for ten years until his retirement in 2018. Prior to that he was Director of Human Resources for the Suffolk Constabulary and a number of NHS Trusts. Rob has particular expertise in employment law and professional conduct, having spent a number of years as a Lay Member of Employment Tribunals.

Surinder is a senior HR leader with experience in automotive, public sector and regulated financial organisations. He is currently HR Director, Manufacturing and Employee Relations at Ford of Britain, having held various HR roles at Ford Motor Company Ltd since 2001.

Surinder has Board level experience in commercial and not for profit sectors, including through Directorships at Ford Halewood Transmissions Ltd and the Centre for Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence.

Yasmin Ullah.jpgYasmin Ullah

Yasmin is a senior people practitioner with a significant global HR background in the financial services/financial technology sector.

Yasmin is currently Chief People Officer at CloudMargin Ltd, a role she has held since 2018. Before that Yasmin held a variety of roles including Human Resources Director at Arma Partners (Corporate Finance Advisory Global Digital Economy) from 2012 to 2018.

Yasmin is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
